4 Eyed Geek =p

Yep! Thats right... I have to wear glasses now. Thank goodness the doctor said I dont have to wear them all the time, but I find that I prefer wearing them more than I thought I would. I never knew the world could look so crisp and clear! It was lots of fun going to the eye doctor. I have never been until now so it was interesting to see what they do. As I suspected, my right eye is worse. That is the side I had all my strokes on. For now I am excited to wear the glasses. We'll see how I feel in a couple weeks. Let me know what you think. I got 2 pair, but this is only one of them. I will try to post some pictures of the other ones later. Everyone likes these ones the most anyways.

Here is a picture of my second pair.

Why God? Why?!

I dont know if I am aloud to say God like that, but thats how I feel because my baby boy is ALREADY 6 months old!!! I dont think it is fair at all! When I get to heaven I have 2 things I am going to bring up with the lord and 1 of them is, Why do our babies have to grow up so fast?!

I took Peyton to the doctors today, hoping to get his 6 month well check done, only to find out he is now on his 4th ear infection (both ears). The doctor said he is well on his way to having 6 this year which means he will get tubes put in. I wish they would just put them in now and save Peyton and Me the trouble of having to go through 2 more ear infections, but the doc says its best. Whatever! So I am not able to post how his growth is progressing on this post. I will say though, he seems to be progressing just fine to me! He is full on sitting up by himself with no tip overs, He thinks he needs to crawl too, but I am so thankful he hasn't yet! I give him another month and will probably be posting about him crawling. He loves being a big boy and sitting at the table with us for dinner. He is a very good eater when it comes to baby food. He is still such a happy, calm, and content boy. He will usually just chill as long as he can be in the same room as you. I am so in love with this baby boy, he makes my heart melt everyday. Even though I am sad he is growing up so fast, I cant wait to see what the next 6 months bring!

Mix Up in Heaven

So I am not sure if these pictures do it justice, but I think Peyton and BrookeLynn got mixed up in Heaven. I think that Katelynn, Mattie, and Peyton should have been brothers and sisters and Corbin and BrookeLynn should have been brothers and sisters. These are baby pictures of Katelynn when she was a baby. I tried finding picutres that kinda matched and I dont have any so I just took a few pictures of Peyton. Let me know if you guys see it. Katelynn, Mattie, and Peyton are all fair skinned, Blue eyes, and Blonde hair. Brooke and Corb are dark complected, dark hair, and dark eyes! I think its kinda fun.
This picture doesn't really match the ones of Katelynn, but I had to throw it in there because this is a picture of Peyton thinking he needs to start trying to learn to crawl. Little terd! The dang kid isn't even 6 months old yet. I guess the poor kid just sees everyone else running around and thinks he needs to do it too. I am trying to prevent him from crawling as much as possible. I dont care if I am a bad mom for trying to hold him back, ALRIGHT?! He needs to stop growing up so fast!

K I know this it totally Ghetto that I took a picture of a picture, but I think this picture shows the difference between them. I dont have a scanner to scan this picture for a better look, but you can kinda see it. We took this picture for a Christmas present for my parents. Its the first picture with all the grandkids.

Priceless

I have a friend who is so freakin awesome!!! She painted this picture of Corbin and Peyton with Christ. I am totally in love with it. I cant believe how good of a job she did. She is amazing. She does all sorts of paintings like this. I took her family pictures for her at the Layton park and she turned it into a painting. Thank you so much Amanda for doing this. This is something I will cherish FOREVER!!!

My boys!

I have a friend that works at Kiddie Kandids and is trying to get certified so she needed to use my boys to help her out with this. Its totally lame that is shows Kiddie Kandids Proofs on it (I know I am not suppose to post them, but I couldn't help but want to share how cute they turned out) Jacee did a great job! I love them!!!

Alot of people say how much Corbin and Peyton look like brothers, but I dont see it at all! They are so oppisite to me. Peyton is so different as a baby then Corbin was. Corbin was a very cheerful, loved to be around everyone, very happy baby. Dont get me wrong Peyton is that way too, but he is alot more chill and relax. We had a hard time getting him to smile because he was just chillin, hanging out, wondering what was going on. He didn't like the feather duster thing they use to get them to smile. He would scream a high pitched scream everytime she took it out. Who would have thought a feather duster could make the parents laugh so hard! He also didn't like when she would get to loud and make funny noises. He wanted her to just smile at him and be calm. It was very interesting to see Peyton react to this situation. Its alot of fun to have oppisite boys. I am just glad they are both very happy and easy kids!

1 Year

Yesterday was exactly one year from the start of some crazy health issues! Last year on New Years eve me and my mom went shopping at the Layton Mall and while in Charlotte Russe I experienced my first Mini stroke, but at that time I did not know thats what it was. I had just found out I was pregnant 2 weeks previous and later found out that it was the cause of my mini strokes. After my first mini stroke I had another one a few weeks later at the doctors office during my first ultra sound with Peyton. There I found out that I had a possible hole in my heart. My OB doctor immediatly got me into a heart specialist in Salt Lake and they did tests and did find a whole in my heart about the size of a Quarter. They wanted to do surgery on it as soon as possible to prevent any more stroke and possibly a massive stroke but they had to wait until I was in my second trimest. During that time, I was in and out of the hospital ALOT! I never had a massive stroke, but I did have numerous mini strokes. When I was finally in my second trimester I was able to have the surgery. They went through an artery in my groin and inserted a device to close the hole. Because I was pregnant they did not want to put me out so I was able to watch everything that they were doing (which was very weird and kinda freaky) The surgery went very well and they told me if I hadn't taken care of it when I did, then I would have had a massive stroke durning Labor. I was very blessed to have caught this when I did. After the surgery it took about a month for me to stop having the mini strokes and migraines. 6 months after the surgery I went in for a check up and it had completely closed. They were surpirsed by how fast it closed because of the size of the hole. Again I feel very blessed through out the whole process.
Now that its all over and its officially been a year, I am excited to know that its all behind me. I did have a little anxiety over the last couple days just because again me and my mom were shopping at the Layton Mall on New Years eve, but it was comforting to know all was fine. Whenever I look at Peyton I cant help but think how he saved my life. The doctor told me 1 in 4 people have a hole in there heart and dont know about it until they have a massive stroke and eventually I would have had one and could have been severley handicapped, had this not all happened. I love Peyton so much! He is such a blessing in my life and such a sweet spirit. I cant believe how good of a baby he is. We joke that he is so calm and content because he was so drugged up on Morphine and all the other drugs they had me on during all this. Now that its a New Year, I am just hoping for a Health issue free year!
